What is Cozy Bouquet Crochet?
If you’re looking for a quick and easy crochet project, you’ll love this Cozy Bouquet Crochet. This project is made up of three different crochet stitches: Single Crochet (SC), Half Double Crochet (HDC), and Treble Crochet (TRC). You can make the bouquet as large or small as you like, and it’s perfect for giving to someone special.
To begin, chain 43. In the fourth chain from the hook (counts as hdc), work SC into the top of that chain. Skip the next two chains, then work HDC into the next chain. Chain 1, then TRC into the next stitch. Skip the next stitch, then SC into the next stitch. Repeat these steps until you reach your desired length, ending with a TRC in the last stitch. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to weave in later.
Next, join your yarn in any corner stitch of your bouquet. Work 6 SC into that corner stitch. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to weave in later. Weave in all of your tails before closing up your bouquet by sewing each end together using a slip knot on one side and a SC on the other.[/one_half]

Directions:
1. Begin by making a slip knot on the hook and make a chain of 20 stitches.
For this project, you will be using a single crochet (sc) so make sure to insert your hook into both loops of the sticth together as you make the stitch.
Working in continuous rounds, sc around the post (see image below), do not join with another sc in between rounds; slip stitch to join round at end of post: (20 sc)
Round 2: *Sc in next 2 sts, ch 1* work 3 more sc around post and join with slst to first sc made.
Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st* work 5 more sts and join with slst to first sc made.
Round 4-7: Repeat Rounds 2 and 3.
Rnd 8: Join yarn with slst to top of beg ch-1 from previous round and work [sc, ch 1] 6 times total around post.
Join with slst to first sc made and cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing later. sewing: Using the long tail from yarn cutting, sew the band directly onto headband by working a single crochet over each hole from front to back stitching tightly enough so that band doesn’t slide. Weave in ends.
If desired, you can add a bow or other embellishment to the top of your headband by following these instructions:
- 1. Thread yarn through one hole of headband, and then pull tight so that yarn is taut.
- 2. Make a small loop with the yarn, and clip off the excess.
- 3. Insert the crochet hook into the center of the small loop, andpull up on the thread until it forms a loop.
- 4. Make a second small loop with the yarn, and repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have three loops on the crochet hook.
- 5. Hold two loops together, arranging them so that one is positioned at the top of each “v” formed by your previous stitches, and tie them together with a simple knot (see image below). Trim off any excess yarn, and you’re done!
Tips for making a Cozy Bouquet Band
When it comes to making a cozy bouquet, crochet is always a great option. There are so many different ways to make this band, and the possibilities are really endless. For this project, you will need some medium weight yarn, a G crochet hook, and some black I-cord.
The first step is to chain 18. Then work 10 sc in the second ch from the hook. Chain 2 and turn (10 dc). Now work 2 dc in each of the next 9 sts (18 total). Chain 2 and turn (18 dc). After that, work 3 dc in each of the next 8 sts (24 total). Repeat these last 8 steps for a total of 8 rows.
Now it’s time to make the loops at one end of the cord. Work 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, then sl st into the next st and close up loop (you should now have 16 sts). Start working 3 sc in each loop around (64 total). Do not fasten off yet; we still want one end left open so we can add our flowers later on.
To finish up this side of the band, chain 64 more stitches and join with a slip stitch into the first sc worked on this side (65 stitches). Fasten off remaining yarn and weave in ends. Add your flowers as desired and enjoy your cozy bouquet!
