How to make a Hugs and Kisses Baby Blanke
Making a hug baby blanket is a simple project that can be completed in a few hours. All you need is some yarn, a hook, and an iron.
To make the blanket, begin by creating a slip knot on the hook. Put the yarn over the hook again and pull through the loop on the hook. Make another loop and do this one more time. You’ve now created two loops on your hook.
Next, put the middle of the first loop over the top of the second loop and pull tight. You’ve now made a double crochet (dc). Do this again but this time leave a long tail so you can later sew it all together.
Fasten off and weave in your end. Now it’s time to start making circles! With each new round, work 2 dc into each stitch around. The circles will be slightly smaller than your finished blanket because of how crocheting works – crocheting increases (makes stitches bigger) one at a time but putting them all together makes a bigger circle!
When your blanket is complete, tie off each round with a slip stitch and weave in your ends. You’re done!
How to make a Hugs and Kisses Baby Blanke
This simple, yet incredibly affectionate baby blanket is the perfect way to show your love for your little one. You’ll need an old T-shirt or an oversized shirt, some craft foam, a hot glue gun and a few other supplies.
Here’s how you make it:
1) Cut the T-shirt or shirt into a 12-inch square.
2) Trace the outline of the baby’s head onto one side of the square using a light pencil or marker.
3) Cut out the head shape with a sharp knife. Make sure to leave a 1-inch border around the outside of the head shape.
4) Turn the cutout face down and use two pieces of craft foam to create an oval shape that matches the size of the head tracing on one side of the T-shirt/shirt square. Glue this oval piece to one side of the T-shirt/shirt square, making sure that it overlaps slightly on all sides.
5) Take another piece of craft foam and trace a second ovalshaped piece that’s about 2 inches larger than the first oval. Glue this second ovalpiece to opposite side from where you glued in step 4 – making sure that they overlap slightly on all sides again.
6) Now take your hot glue gun and glue both ends of each corner section from step 4 onto each end of each edge section from step 3 (see picture). Do not forget to glue the middle section in the center of each corner!
7) Now take your third piece of craft foam and trace a small circle for the baby’s eyes. Glue this circle to the center of the forehead on the baby’s head shape.
8) Finally, take your last piece of craft foam and trace a small nose onto it. Glue this nose to the top of the baby’s head shape.
9) Hang your Kiss Baby Blanket up to dry!
How to make a Bear Baby Blanket
When it comes to keeping your little one warm and snuggly, nothing beats a Bear Baby Blanket! This easy project is perfect for any beginner crocheter, and it only takes a few hours to complete. Here are the steps you need to follow:
1. Begin by creating a basic square frame out of green fabric. You will also need the bear head and body pattern listed below.
2. Next, begin crocheting the bear body using a light green yarn. When you get close to the end of the round, start working in some smaller stitches to create a fluffy effect.
3. Once the body is finished, continue crocheting inwards towards the center until you reach the furry head. Make sure to leave enough room at the top for stuffing (we recommend using polyester fiberfill).
4. Now it’s time for the fun part: stuffing! Fill in all of the gaps inside of the head and body with stuffing, making sure to shape it nicely so that your blanket looks realistic when finished. We also recommend kneading some waves or curves into your stuffing before closing up any open areas with additional stitches.
5. Finally, finish off your bear by weaving in any loose ends and sewing on eyes and ears accordingly. You’re done! Now just lie your fluffy Bear Baby Blanket down next to your little one as they sleep off their winter weariness and enjoy some soft hugs and kisses (or maybe a little bit of bear claw play, who knows!).
